About the role We have a brand‑new opportunity for a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Glasgow. It's an exciting time to join our Glasgow office. It was established in 2016 to provide a local presence on our projects. Now, it houses an abundance of key sector expertise and knowledge that supports projects across the UK. As a Principal or Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistent high‑quality service for clients, ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed and profitability is achieved. In this key and varied role, you can expect to:

Be responsible for the day‑to‑day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi‑disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors. Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards. Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery. This is a client‑facing role, so you will be attending project meetings and disseminating / translating the brief within the project team. Work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered. Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals, including apprentices and graduates.

About you To be successful in this role you’ll need:

Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects. Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux. Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors / architects in a design‑oriented / consultant role. Self‑awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity. Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
