Job Title: Principal Power Systems Electrical Engineer
Location: Barrow, Filton (Hybrid – On-site 2 days per fortnight)

What you’ll be doing:
Conducting load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis of an electrical power system
Management and analysis of the electrical load budget
Developing and validating electrical models for performing simulations to aid power system analysis studies
Provide technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power system
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectively
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
Proven Experience as a power systems engineer
Knowledge of high power, medium voltage power electronics, machines, and drives
Strong knowledge of power systems, including conversion, distributions, and
Experience conducting electrical load budget and load flow analysis
Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, IPSA) and programming tools (e.g. MATLAB, python)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
