Hours: 37 hours per week\n\nDo you want to join a business, who value inclusivity, a three-time gold investor in people award winner, an advocate of supporting women in engineering and developing their people to be the best they can be?\n\nThe opportunity:\n\nWe are looking for Scene Engineer to join an Electro Optic (EO) scene team, which delivers modelling and simulation of the world observed by an EO sensor, accelerated to support real-time integration and test of hardware, and high-volume simulation of systems, and sub-systems. This is an essential part of the companies complex programmes, allowing the team to game any mission in a real-world situation with or without real hardware, and work with our Customers and Suppliers towards perfecting products such as next Electro-Optics (EO) and sensors.\n\nAnd this is where you come in… If you are the successful applicant, we will offer you the exciting challenge of developing real-world simulations and modelling tools that are a critical part of product development.\n\nOur team is a small, multi-disciplinary team that support a range of scene activities, from synthetic modelling of real-world objects and the Earth’s surface, through to hardware testing and validation via experimentation and field trials.\n\nWe use a variety of different software development and modelling tools, and we will support to you and hands on training to get you up to speed as quick as possible. However, we are always looking to broaden and evolve our toolset, to continue to deliver an industry-leading capability ready for future programme needs; joining the team now offers the chance for you to deliver current programmes and shape the future of the team and the company.\n\nBenefits of working here:\n\n * State of the art technology & innovation\n\n * External learning and development encouraged\n\n * Light and airy university type campus.\n\n * Friendly environment!\n\n * Restaurant, On site Medical Centre, Parking / Easy Access to train station, Coffee Shops & Onsite Shop, Sports & Social Club and More\n\nSkills and Qualifications\n\nSomeone to lead the delivery of multiple concurrent projects developing physical modelling of the real world in small multi-disciplinary teams responsible for software development, systems engineering and delivery.\n\nYou will need:\n\n * Excellent systems engineering and project management skills\n\n * A strong background in one or more of the applicable technical disciplines- physics, software development, modelling, gaming engine development, and an appreciation of all of these.\n\n * An affinity with lean/agile methods and software development tools; version control, task management, continuous integration, etc\n\nIn addition to the technical aspects of the role, we value the ability to:\n\n * Be adaptable to create different features and effects, as well as being creative to work around a problem, finding innovative solutions to keep us on track.\n\n * Demonstrate commitment and integrity in delivering on time – as well as to cost and quality – so experience in, or a good appreciation of task package management is also highly desirable\n\n * Work across different projects and departments, and so value strong team spirit, and communication skills.\n\nYou will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role.
