JOB PURPOSE
- Responsible for leading security risk assessments, developing security strategies, and providing expert advice on safety and security solutions for clients across various industries.
- Play a key role in project management, business development, and mentoring junior consultants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality security consultancy services.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Security, Safety, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in risk consulting, security management, or safety compliance.
- Preferred: Professional certifications in safety & security management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with bid preparation as appropriate.
- Lead and manage selected / allocated client relationships.
- Develop your knowledge, to become competent in preparing comparative risk assessment models (CRAM), using SGW's subscribed Hawksight SRM software tools.
- Interpret, apply, and develop mitigation measures from threat and risk assessments and/or Strategic Security Masterplans.
- Provide security design and engineering services to lead SGW's project delivery on allocated projects, spanning all RIBA work stages, within the built environment.
- Develop a client's brief and work within a defined deliverables.
- Define Level 1 operational requirements (OR's) and how these are to be addressed.
- Interpret Level 1 operational requirements (OR's) and how these are addressed with utilisation of electronic security measures into a Level 2 OR.
- Prepare feasibility report deliverables for deploying CCTV and security systems to address L1 requirements.
- Undertake site surveys, prepare financial budgets, assess deliverability within project time constraints.
- Prepare outline details of each system - typically: CCTV, IDS, PIDS, AACS, lighting, AMS or other control room systems etc.
- Prepare detailed design and tender packages associated with CCTV and electronic security systems projects. This may include; Drawings, schematics, specifications, layouts, connectivity and links to other building systems (i.e. electrical/HVAC etc), detailed programme, bill of quantities and pricing schedules.
- Prepare security project related pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ's) as required.
- Undertake technical adjudication of contractor's tenders and bids, preparing tender evaluation reports, which incorporate technical and financial scoring criteria
- Provide onsite technical assessment, snagging and authorising engineer services to support company projects.
- Prepare security related white papers, security conference abstracts, and security research material.
- Contribute to the development of the company CAD library and develop security related CAD and BIM methodology, material and intellectual property.
- Contribute to development of the company workflow management systems and quality management system, for areas of the business which fall within your job description remit.
- Be eager and willing to learn new software, technologies and products.
- Participate in continued professional development (CPD) activities, adopting the Security Institute's CPD scheme.
- Progress membership of the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES).
- Build relationships with manufacturers and if necessary, hold meetings with manufacturers and integrators to assist you to prepare a final scheme design or tender package.
- Develop strong technical written, organizational, communication and presentation skills.

- Industry Experience / Thought Leadership - Demonstrated expertise in discipline with a proven track record of success. Active participation in industry professional groups and conferences.
- Project Management / Operational Delivery - Successful track record of securing and delivering multiple complex projects ($250k) with high level of Client feedback. Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues. Perform role of project director for less complex projects.
- Leadership / Team Management Experience - Leading by example in the exemplary delivery of projects. Assist Consultants and Senior Consultants when dealing with complex situations. Support divisional leadership and provide line management to graduates and coordinators. Responsible for at least 2 more members of staff. Uphold AESG Core Values.
- Commercial Acumen / Business Development - Client oriented and provides significant contribution to commercial success of the division and takes ownership for the development of procedures to improve division function and efficiency. Experience in preparation and presentation of proposals and seeking and winning new work.
- Problem Solving / Decision Making - Responsible for making decisions that affect their teams and projects. They develop skills in risk assessment, data-driven decision making, and prioritising tasks. They also learn to delegate decisions appropriately to their team members.
