Principal Software Engineer | Payments | Credit Card Product
£120,000-150,000 Base + Bonus + Package

Project Overview & Role Purpose
The team are hiring a Principal (or Staff) Software Engineer to drive and support the delivery of a new credit card product. Long term, the goal is to build all of the functionality in-house. For this reason, they need someone with knowledge of the various areas that make up a credit card product and how to glue it all together e.g. payments architecture and authorisation workflows, interest calculations, rewards etc..
Requirements
Experienced hands on software engineer proficient in an object-oriented programming , ideally something like Python or Java.
Experience with knowledge in areas (but not all) of payment infrastructure, financial ledgers, DLT, Credit Cards,
Ability to mentor, and grow a small group of talented engineers, and improve engineering standards across the wider organisation.
Experience designing and building highly available, low-latency payments/transactional systems
