Principal Consultant - Transport Development Planning (Bristol)
I am currently working with a well-established consultancy that is setting up a new Bristol office and is now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Principal Consultant to play a key role in its growth.
This opportunity would suit candidates with approximately four to eight years' experience in transport development planning, gained either within a consultancy environment or a local authority setting, and who are keen to be involved in shaping a new regional presence.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A strong understanding of transport planning principles Excellent presentation and technical report-writing skills The ability to manage their own workload and meet project deadlines Experience working collaboratively with other consultancies as part of multi-disciplinary teams on development projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and leisure schemes The capability to project manage small to medium-sized projects Strong interpersonal and communication skills Technical experience should include:
Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement chapters Building, running, and interpreting outputs from Junctions 10 and LinSig software Knowledge of highway design standards including MfS, DMRB, LTN 1/20, and an understanding of the requirements of Active Travel England and Healthy Streets Add...
