Principal Transport Planner
Location: Central London Salary: £55,000+ (DOE) Type: Full-time, Hybrid Working (2:3 or 3:2) A specialist transport planning and development planning consultancy is seeking a Principal Transport Planner to take on a leadership-focused role in their London office. This is a key appointment for someone with strong experience in transport planning, development planning, Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and advanced junction modelling (ARCADY/PICADY/Junctions 9/10/11). This consultancy supports developers across the UK on large strategic residential sites, urban regeneration, mixed-use schemes, and major planning applications. With a strong reputation, a flexible working culture, and a bonus paid every year since inception, this is a high-quality environment for an ambitious Principal Transport Planner. The Role As a Principal Transport Planner, you will:

\n Lead projects in development planning and transport planning, taking technical ownership \n
Oversee delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, EIA chapters and supporting analysis \n
Lead junction capacity modelling using ARCADY/PICADY/Junctions 9/10/11 \n
Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level planners \n
Build and maintain client relationships, providing expert consultancy advice \n
Contribute to work-winning, proposals and commercial management \n
Support the growth and direction of the transport planning team What We're Looking For \n
Established background in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy \n
Strong technical expertise in development planning deliverables \n
Advanced experience in junction modelling (ARCADY/PICADY) \n
Confident communicator capable of leading client discussions and project outputs \n
