Principal Sustainability Consultant\n\nManchester | Up to £55,000 + benefits\n\nLove buildings, data, and saving the planet (without wearing a cape)? We’re on the lookout for a Principal Sustainability Consultant to join a growing Sustainability Team in Manchester.\n\nThis is a hands-on, influential role where you’ll help clients cut carbon, hit net zero targets, and stay on the right side of energy regulations — all while working on genuinely interesting projects.\n\nWhat you’ll be getting stuck into:\n\n * \n\n Helping clients turn sustainability ambitions into real, workable strategies\n\n * \n\n Leading on Part L compliance and advising on UK energy regulations\n\n * \n\n Delivering Energy & Sustainability Statements, Overheating Analysis (TM52/TM59), and performance modelling\n\n * \n\n Carrying out Thermal Bridging calculations and Condensation Risk Analysis\n\n * \n\n Auditing buildings and creating clear roadmaps to improve environmental performance\n\n * \n\n Juggling multiple projects like a pro (no actual juggling required)\n\n * \n\n Building strong relationships with clients and project teams\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\n\n * \n\n Solid experience in sustainability or energy consultancy\n\n * \n\n Strong technical knowledge across Part L, overheating, condensation risk, and thermal bridging\n\n * \n\n Confident using DesignBuilder\n\n * \n\n A good grasp of UK energy regulations and building standards\n\n * \n\n Someone who loves data but can also explain it without sending people to sleep\n\n * \n\n Great communication skills and experience managing projects\n\n * \n\n CIBSE accreditation (or working towards it) is a big plus\n\nWhat’s in it for you:\n\n * \n\n Salary up to £55,000 (depending on experience)\n\n * \n\n A clear path to progress — your development matters here\n\n * \n\n Varied, high-profile projects that actually make a difference\n\n * \n\n A supportive, collaborative team who take the work seriously (but not themselves)\n\nIf you’re ready to use your sustainability expertise to create smarter, greener buildings — and enjoy the ride while doing it — we’d love to hear from you
