Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals within the criminal justice system?

We’re currently seeking an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a team within a Category C Prison in County Durham on contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support individuals in custody with their journey through substance misuse recovery.

The Role:

As a Recovery Coordinator, you’ll be working as part of an integrated team delivering psychosocial interventions to men in custody. You'll be responsible for:

Managing a caseload of service users engaged in drug and alcohol treatment

*

Completing assessments, care plans, and risk management plans

*

Delivering 1:1 and group interventions

*

Supporting continuity of care from custody into the community

*

Working in partnership with healthcare, probation, and wider prison staff

About You:

*

Previous experience in substance misuse and/or criminal justice settings is essential

*

Strong knowledge of recovery models and harm reduction approaches

*

Confident in delivering structured interventions and managing complex needs

*

Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills

*

Prison clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting)

What You’ll Get:

Competitive hourly rate: £20 - £21 (depending on experience)
