Job Description

A leading Private Client team is seeking a Private Client Associate (3–5 PQE) to join its high-performing international practice. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to work with an elite client base on complex cross-border private wealth matters.


About the Role:

This position sits within a well-established Offshore Private Client group, working closely with Onshore and Disputes teams. You will deliver technical legal and tax advice to HNW and UHNW international clients (UK resident and non-resident) from a wide range of jurisdictions.

The work includes:

  • Structuring UK and offshore wealth;
  • Advising on trust and wealth-holding entity establishment;
  • Cross-border succession planning and international Will drafting;
  • Collaborating with international advisers (lawyers, accountants, trustees, family offices).

You will be joining a team with a strong partner bench and cross-disciplinary support, providing immediate exposure to high-quality matters and clients.


Recent Example Work Includes:

  • Coordinating global estate planning for a multi-jurisdictional UHNW family, alongside trustees and advisers;
  • Acting as lead counsel for an international financial executive on UK tax and cross-border compliance;
  • Advising on global estate planning from both UK and US perspectives for long-term expats;
  • Advising a Gulf-based multi-generational family on intergenerational wealth structuring.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising international clients on E&W legal and UK tax matters;
  • Supporting clients relocating to or departing from the UK;
  • Structuring, restructuring, and acquiring assets (especially UK real estate);
  • Drafting Wills, trust deeds, and related documentation;
  • Providing ongoing strategic succession and estate planning advice;
  • Liaising with international advisers and collaborating with internal teams;
  • Leading client communication and project delivery;
  • Contributing to business development and client relationship building.


Candidate Requirements:

  • 3–5 years’ PQE with significant experience in offshore private client work;
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales;
  • STEP qualified (or working towards);
  • Strong understanding of tax, trust structuring, and succession planning for HNWIs/UHNWIs;
  • Commercial awareness, technical ability, and client-focused mindset;
  • Excellent written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a dynamic and supportive team.
