Job Opportunity: Private Client Lawyer

Location: Chichester Office

Join a well-established, client-focused law firm in Chichester as a Private Client Solicitor or CILEx professional. Experienced, non-qualified CILEx members with relevant expertise are also encouraged to apply.

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Role Requirements:

Experience:

\n
• A minimum of 3 years’ PQE in private client work, ideally with STEP membership or an interest in pursuing it
• Candidates should have experience with probate, estate administration and working with both simple and taxable estates

Skills:

\n
• Strong client care and communication skills, team player, IT proficient, self-motivated, adaptable and able to manage clients across a diverse demographic
• Comfortable working independently with support, especially in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Manage probate and estate administration, from non-taxable estates to those requiring IHT400 filings and relief claims
• Handle cases involving intestacy, with solid knowledge of intestacy rules
• Knowledge of trusts, including life interest and discretionary trusts, is beneficial
• Ability to oversee trust setup, administration, and dissolution within estate planning and administration
