A highly regarded regional law firm in South Devon is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its established and growing Private Client team in Kingsbridge.

The Role – Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive

You will handle your own mixed caseload of private client matters, working with a loyal client base and providing clear, practical legal advice.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting Wills and advising on estate planning
• Managing probate and estate administration
• Providing inheritance tax advice and lifetime tax planning
• Drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Advising on Court of Protection applications
• Assisting with the creation and administration of trusts (desirable but not essential)
• Due to location, much of the work is acting for HNW clients across the South Hams. Experience of this already is not essential

The role offers a balance of client-facing work and autonomous file management, supported by an experienced and approachable team

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Private Client law
• Strong client care, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage your own caseload independently
• STEP qualification (or willingness to study toward it) is advantageous
• Applications welcome from those nearing qualification
