Job Opportunity: Senior Associate Solicitor – Private Client


Location: Glasgow


Overview:

A growing Scottish firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Private Client team. This role involves advising on complex wills, Powers of Attorney, succession planning, trusts and executry administration, while also supporting the development of the team and client relationships. It offers a high level of autonomy, direct client contact and the opportunity to play a key role in expanding the firm’s private client practice.


Role Requirements:

  • Advising on complex wills, succession planning, inheritance tax and Powers of Attorney
  • Managing a varied caseload of high-value executries and trust matters
  • Handling trust administration and Adults with Incapacity applications
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and providing technical guidance on complex matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and trainees
  • Contributing to business development and supporting the growth of the private client team


Experience:

  • Significant private client experience, ideally at Senior Associate level
  • STEP qualification (or working toward it) welcomed
  • Proven experience managing complex private client matters and supervising junior colleagues


Skills:

  • Detail-focused, organised and proactive
  • Clear communicator with a client-focused mindset
  • Able to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
