Location: Canterbury Salary: Competitive | £70,000 - £90,000 total remuneration package Working pattern: Full‑time | Hybrid working available We are recruiting for an experienced Private Client Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join a well‑established and growing Private Client department based in Canterbury. The Role You will handle a broad and interesting Private Client caseload, including:

Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax planning Complex estates involving UK and overseas property and tax issues Court of Protection matters Trusts and agricultural estates Administration of straightforward probate matters, with complex cases referred to Partners as appropriate

You will also:

Meet clients in the office, at home, in hospital, or remotely as required Play an active role in business development, networking and marketing events Supervise and support junior fee earners and trainees Maintain accurate time recording and comply with internal systems and procedures Attend departmental meetings and relevant training to maintain technical knowledge

About You

Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE in Private Client work (applications from all experience levels considered) Strong technical grounding across core Private Client matters Comfortable advising clients on sensitive and complex issues Willing to contribute to supervision and development of junior team members Commercially aware with an interest in business development Professional client‑focused approach
