Private Client Lawyer | Wills and Probate Solicitor | Legal Executive 

Location: Exeter, Devon (Hybrid and Flexible Working Available)

A leading regional law firm in Devon is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) to join its growing Private Client team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality private client matters, develop specialist expertise and progress within a well-respected and forward-thinking law firm.

Private Client Solicitor Role 

As a Private Client Lawyer, you will manage a diverse caseload of private client work, including:

• Drafting wills and advising on estate planning
• Trust creation, administration and inheritance tax planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Court of Protection applications and elderly client matters
• Probate and estate administration
• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families on complex estates

You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers and partners, with the opportunity to take on more complex and high-value work as your career progresses.

Candidate Requirements 

To be considered for this Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive role, you should have:

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) status with 2+ years’ PQE in Private Client law
• Strong experience in wills, probate, trusts and tax planning
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• STEP qualification desirable but not essential (full funding and support available)
• Ability to work in or commute to Exeter, East Devon or surrounding areas
