Private Client Solicitor/Senior Lawyer/Partner

Plymouth, Devon | Hybrid & Flexible Working 

A highly respected and growing South West law firm is strengthening its Private Client team in Plymouth and is now recruiting a Senior Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Partner-level Lawyer.

This is a strategic hire due to expansion, offering genuine seniority, long-term progression and flexible working. The firm is open to full-time or part-time arrangements and will consider experienced lawyers seeking a partner-track or leadership role.

The Opportunity

You will join a well-established Private Client department with a loyal client base and a strong referral network. The firm is intentionally reducing individual caseloads at senior level to allow time for mentoring, client development and strategic input.

This role is ideal for a lawyer who wants influence, autonomy and balance — without sacrificing quality work.

Role Overview – Private Client Solicitor / Partner

You will advise on a broad range of Private Client matters, including:

• Probate and estate administration
• Drafting wills and complex estate planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Trusts, tax planning and wealth preservation
• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families

At senior or Partner level, you will also:

• Support and mentor junior lawyers
• Contribute to departmental strategy and growth
• Play a visible role in client relationship management

You will be supported by dedicated paralegal and administrative staff, allowing you to focus on advisory work.

Your Profile

• Qualified Private Client Solicitor or CILEX Legal Executive
• Experience across wills, probate, trusts and LPAs
• Senior Associates or existing Partners encouraged to apply
• STEP qualification welcomed (support provided if not yet qualified)
• Commercially aware, people-focused and collaborative
