A leading US law firm with a top‑tier sponsor‑side private equity practice is seeking to hire a Private Equity Associate (2–4 PQE) as part of strategic growth within its high‑performing London corporate team.

You will join a specialist private equity platform known for:

• Advising leading global private equity sponsors on complex UK and European buyouts
• Acting on high‑value, cross‑border transactions with significant US integration
• Handling sophisticated carve‑outs, minority investments, joint ventures and exits
• Supporting clients across the full deal lifecycle, from initial structuring through execution and exit
• Providing commercially focused, sponsor‑led advice directly to investment professionals and senior stakeholders
• Seamless collaboration with leading finance, tax, incentives and US colleagues on flagship transactions

This is a team operating at the top end of the London private equity market, handling transactions where judgement, technical excellence and commercial awareness are essential.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of complex private equity matters, including:

• Sponsor‑side buyouts and exits (UK and cross‑border)
• Platform investments and add‑on acquisitions
• Carve‑outs and minority investments
• Management equity and incentive arrangements
• Consortium and co‑investment structures
• Transaction execution, coordination of specialist workstreams and deal management

You will work closely with partners and clients in lean deal teams, while also supervising and supporting junior associates as appropriate.

About You

The team is seeking high‑calibre candidates who:

• Are UK‑qualified with 2–4 PQE in private equity or sponsor‑side corporate work
• Have trained at a Magic Circle or leading US firm
• Have strong experience acting for private equity sponsors on complex transactions
• Are commercially minded, proactive and confident managing workstreams
• Thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑performance and collaborative environment
