Private Family Solicitor Location: CaerphillySalary: Up to £55,000Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on-site expectation) About the Role A well-established South Wales law firm with strong community roots and a long-standing reputation for providing approachable, high-quality legal services is looking to appoint a Private Family Solicitor to join its Caerphilly office. Known for its supportive working culture and loyal client base, the firm offers a collaborative environment where solicitors are trusted to manage their work while being supported by an experienced team. A new opportunity has arisen for either a Newly Qualified Solicitor or an experienced Family Solicitor to join the firm’s private family department. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to work on a varied caseload of privately funded family matters while playing a key role in the continued development of the department. The role will involve:

Managing a caseload of private family matters including divorce and financial remedy (ancillary relief). Advising clients on a range of family law issues with professionalism and sensitivity. Working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues within the family department. Drafting and preparing legal documentation relating to family proceedings and financial settlements. Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of client care.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be a qualified Solicitor (NQ+ PQE) or an experienced legal professional with strong private family experience. Have experience handling matters such as divorce and ancillary relief. Be confident managing files independently while also working effectively within a team. Demonstrate strong communication skills and a client-focused approach. Be organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload.
