Process Engineer

We are recruiting for a Process Engineer to join a highly advanced manufacturing business operating within aerospace and defence.
This role is ideal for an engineer looking to work in a technology-led environment , where process innovation, materials engineering, and market-driven development are critical to success.
The Role
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimising casting and manufacturing processes , ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with market requirements .
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and improving processes
Using simulation tools and data analysis to optimise yield, quality, and cost
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through to production
Conducting market research and competitor benchmarking to inform process and product improvements
Driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma)
Working closely with quality, metallurgy, and production teams to meet aerospace standards (e.g. AS9100, Nadcap)
Monitoring KPIs such as scrap reduction, cycle times, and process capability
About You
We are looking for a technically strong engineer with exposure to high-value manufacturing environments , ideally within aerospace, metals, or advanced materials.
You will ideally have:
Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering
Understanding of metallurgy, process simulation, or material behaviour
Experience working to aerospace or regulated industry standards
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to link process performance to market and customer requirements
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean / Six Sigma)

£42,000 - £45,000 base salary
