We're looking for a Process Technologist to join our M&S-exclusive site in Carlisle - a rare opportunity to work with one of the UK's most prestigious food retail brands.

The Role

You'll join a close-knit and high-performing team of Process and Development Technologists. This role plays a vital part in the end-to-end development process - from concept to launch. It's all about scaling recipes from kitchen bench to factory production line, ensuring food safety, and working with stakeholders across the site to deliver quality products at scale.

You'll lead trials, manage paperwork, liaise with Ops, Tech, and Planning teams, and help steer junior technologists. It's a fast-paced environment with lots of moving parts - so if you love spinning plates and pulling people together to get things done, you'll thrive here.

What we're looking for:

Demonstrable experience in a process development role within food is essential

A process or technical background, ideally from a factory setting

A food-related degree or equivalent experience is highly advantageous

A team player who can collaborate with a wide range of people - from shop floor to customer level
