Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Consultant with a proven track record of delivering procurement excellence in complex environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or commercial roles and must already hold active Security Clearance (SC).


You will support a variety of procurement and commercial activities across major programmes within the public sector, defence, or secure government domains.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead or support end-to-end procurement processes in compliance with public sector regulations (e.g., PCR 2015).
  • Develop procurement strategies, tender documentation, evaluation criteria, and contracts.
  • Engage and manage stakeholders across commercial, technical, legal, and operational teams.
  • Conduct supplier market analysis, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure value for money and compliance with organisational and legislative standards.
  • Provide advice on sourcing strategies, procurement policies, and contract management.
  • Support commercial assurance activities and governance processes.


Requirements:

  • Active SC Clearance (Security Check) – essential
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement/commercial experience, ideally within the public sector, defence, or secure government environments.
  • Strong understanding of UK Public Procurement Regulations (e.g., PCR 2015, DSPCR).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex tenders and contracts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and e-procurement tools (e.g., Jaggaer, Bravo, Delta).
  • Relevant qualifications such as MCIPS or equivalent – desirable.
