Finance Procurement Officer

Location: Wey Valley Academy, Weymouth

Salary: Finance Procurement Officer (based in Weymouth) - Grade 6 SCP 16-22 (£29,572 - £32,654) FTE 37h/per week.Term time only plus weeks

The Role

We are seeking to recruit a Finance Procurement Officer based at Wey Valley Academy. You will need to have experience working in an administrative, finance, procurement, or purchasing support role with the ability to process orders, maintain records, handling documentation. It is essential that you have experience of tendering and supplier management. You will be negotiating with external suppliers.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational skills with an in-depth knowledge of negotiating, tendering with external suppliers. With the ability to solve problems and supply solutions. You would need to be proficient in Microsoft office packages, including Excel, to work confidentially and in line with GDPR and internal processes to protect information. Strong ability to manage conflicting deadlines and attention to detail with excellent communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Understanding procurement and purchasing principles and processes. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with good organisational skills and prioritise workload.
