exceptional produce. We are looking for a hands-on, commercially astute Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team in sourcing the best quality products at the best possible value. What you'll be doing? Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll take ownership of the procurement function, ensuring top-quality raw materials are sourced and stock levels are accurately managed. Key responsibilities include : Ensuring great quality and accurate quantities of all purchased raw materials. Delivering on cost targets in line with budget guidelines. Sourcing from our approved supplier list. Maintaining accurate stock records. Leading and developing a small procurement team. What skills and experience you will need: Proven fresh produce buying experience Strong numeracy and communication skills (written and verbal) Highlevel negotiation and decision-making abilities Excellent organisation and IT skills (MS Office, especially Excel) A proactive, cando attitude and a professional work ethic Experience in leading and managing a team A methodical and logical approach to work Working hours Monday to Friday 08.00 until 17.30 Participation in a weekend on call rota (1 in 3 weekends) A Little Bit About Us We are a third-generation, family-run grower and supplier of fresh produce, with our head office based in Farningham, Kent.
