Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting 2-3 Procurement/Buyers to join a Electrical Main Contractor on a new build Waste to Energy facility based in Chester, Cheshire for 4 months (possible extension)

The Procurement/Buyers position come with an hourly rate from £22 to £24 per hour.

Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:

Source and procure electrical materials, components, and equipment including cables, switchgear, instrumentation, panels, and other electrical systems relevant to EfW projects. Issue and manage RFQs (Request for Quotations), evaluate supplier offers, and conduct negotiations to ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with technical requirements. Place purchase orders in accordance with project budgets and schedules. Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with project engineers, site managers, and commercial teams to align procurement with technical and delivery needs. Support subcontract procurement activities, including defining scopes of work and evaluating bids for electrical subcontract packages. Track and report on procurement progress, material deliveries, and cost performance. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and regulatory standards.
