About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Product & Application Specialist to join a growing and innovative technology-driven organisation supporting the retail and food production sectors.
This is a pivotal position where you will act as the technical expert within the sales process-bridging the gap between customers, sales teams, and product development. Your insight and expertise will help deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert product and application knowledge to support both customers and internal sales teams

Analyse customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions to meet operational needs

Deliver engaging product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions

Work closely with sales teams to develop customised proposals and quotations

Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical or application-related issues

Gather and relay customer feedback to support product improvements and innovation

Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies

Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events

About You

Experience in a product specialist, application specialist, or technical sales support role

Ideally from a background in weighing technology, food processing, or a related technical field

Strong understanding of the sales process and commitment to excellent customer service

Technically minded with the ability to explain complex solutions in a clear, engaging way

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Willing to travel occasionally within the UK

Educated to A-level standard or equivalent (technical qualification or degree desirable)
