The company strongly believes that the African economy can benefit small and medium enterprises with a strong product design and deliverable.Since 2022/23, we've built a robust foundation with our successful ALS Gaming App. Our in-house IT teams in India and London developed and launched two key products: our unique 60-number lotto game (where players select 6 numbers in a range of 1-60) and engaging Afro Gold Rush Scratch cards.

Having secured our operational license in Nigeria in 2024, we're actively testing this pioneering market while pursuing licenses in other African countries. Now, we're taking a thrilling leap forward: expanding into the dynamic world of sports betting and casino operations. We're actively seeking strategic partnerships with leading global gaming providers, including a potential collaboration with a Brazilian company (contract currently under review), to bring the very best to our players. We're building a high-impact, tech-driven, and culturally aligned gaming ecosystem that will redefine entertainment across Africa.

The Opportunity: Drive Product Innovation in African iGaming

We're searching for a visionary, hands-on Product Development Manager who's ready to be the driving force behind our sports betting and casino product strategy and execution across Africa.

The successful candidate will start immediately, diving deep into reviewing the products and terms offered by key vendors competing to partner with us in sports betting. You'll be instrumental in setting up ALS operations across Africa, recruiting, training, and supervising the rollout of ALS Sports Betting in our pioneering market (Nigeria) and in the ongoing discussions for other African countries. This pivotal role is designed to evolve into a Product Director position, overseeing all Afrolottery product development and operations across Africa.

This is an opportunity to take full ownership of our product expansion, starting in Nigeria and scaling rapidly across other African markets. The job offer will be issued as if the candidate is working from the head office here in London and you'll be an integral part of our global team. You'll initially work closely with our London head office, with significant international travel required (work permits will be obtained), as you help establish and roll out our new ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the go-to-market and long-term product strategy for sports betting and casino operations in Nigeria and future African markets.
• Contribute to the overall P&L performance by ensuring product excellence and driving product-led revenue growth towards a ₦5 Billion+ annual ambition.
• Lead the in-depth review and commercial conversations with potential sports betting and casino vendors to finalize optimal product partnerships.
• End-to-End Product Ownership:
• Drive the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design to launch and post-launch optimization, collaborating closely with our talented in-house tech teams (India/London).
• Oversee the successful launch of new mobile and web gaming platforms, continuously monitoring performance, user experience, and feature adoption.
• Ensure product readiness for operational scale in Nigeria, including seamless integration with payment systems, robust security features, and intuitive support functionalities.
• Product-Led User Growth:
• Collaborate closely with marketing teams to develop product-led user acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring our platforms are designed to maximize engagement and growth.
• Drive product features and enhancements that contribute to our target of 250,000+ active users within 18 months.
• Compliance & Responsible Product Design:
• Ensure all product features and functionalities are in full regulatory compliance within operational markets.
• Work with regulatory affairs to integrate responsible gaming standards and fraud mitigation processes directly into product design.
• Cross-Functional Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams involved in product development (e.g., product owners, UX/UI designers, business analysts).
• Collaborate extensively with operational heads in each country to ensure smooth product rollouts, gather local insights, and address market-specific product needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in product management, with significant leadership roles in the gaming/sports betting industry.
• Track Record:Minimum of 3 years in top Sports betting products, preferably with direct experience in the African market.
• Market Insight: Deep understanding of African consumer trends, payment systems (especially mobile money), risk management from a product perspective, and the complex regulatory environments across the continent.
• Technical Savvy: Comprehensive knowledge of sports betting mechanics, odds compilation, and casino operations from a product development standpoint.
• Education:First Degree or its equivalent.
• Language: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French or other African languages is a significant plus.

• Strategic Partnerships: Finalize key vendor partnerships and ensure product readiness for expansion into 2-3 new territories in Africa.
