Product Lead (FTC, Maternity Cover)

New Yesterday

Job Description

We're partnering exclusively with a fast-moving, consumer-obsessed D2C brand to find an exceptional Product Lead for a FTC maternity cover.

The business is at an exciting stage of growth and they need someone who can walk in, take ownership, and lead from day one. With a global customer base and proven product-market fit, this is a startup-like environment within an established brand — offering both the stability of traction and the energy of a team that's still building. This is a critical period and the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping initiatives across a pivotal FY26 roadmap.

The Company

A well-loved D2C consumer brand with a product that sits right at the intersection of technology and human connection. They've built something people genuinely care about, and the team behind it is equally impressive. They move fast, trust their people, and have very little time for ego or unnecessary process.

The Role

As Product Lead, you'll own the product function across iOS, Android and Web for the duration of the contract. You'll drive roadmap prioritisation, and be the connective tissue between tech, growth, marketing, finance and operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position — strategic enough to influence the roadmap and commercial direction, and practical enough to get into the detail and execute efficiently when it's needed. It's worth being clear: this is a doer-leader role. You'll be working within a lean product team, which means you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves across discovery, delivery and design — not just direct others. If that sounds like your natural mode of working, you'll thrive here.

You'll also line manage one Product Manager and a Merchandising Executive, so you'll need to be comfortable holding both the strategic and the people management thread simultaneously. you're the kind of PM who thrives with real ownership and wants to see the direct impact of your work, then we encourage you to apply.

Day to day you'll be:

  • Owning and updating the product roadmap with full transparency across the business
  • Running customer interviews, surveys and usability research to drive insight-led decisions
  • Monitoring product KPIs and acting fast when something shifts
  • Directly influencing key commercial metrics — including LTV, retention and repeat behaviour — across subscription, gifting and seasonal growth levers
  • Designing and analysing experiments to validate ideas before scaling them
  • Heavy involvement in UX/UI — shaping design direction and briefing external resource to a high standard
  • Leading planning sessions, standups, retrospectives and growth sprints
  • Supporting agile ways of working within the tech team, including refinement, backlog grooming and ticket scoping
  • Collaborating across every function — tech, growth, finance, ops, data and CS — to refine and execute
  • Keeping documentation clean and organised so the whole team has visibility
  • Briefing and managing external design resource
  • Communicating product progress across the wider business at all levels

This is a hybrid role — you'll be based in a London office two days a week.

About you

  • 8–10+ years of product management experience, end-to-end, in a D2C or consumer-facing business
  • D2C experience is non-negotiable — you understand how to balance customer love with commercial performance
  • Commercially minded — you understand how product decisions connect to revenue, and you're as focused on business outcomes as you are on the customer experience
  • Comfortable working across both analytical and creative thinking — this role demands performance rigour and emotional storytelling in equal measure
  • Strong with data — you self-serve on analytics, know how to read an A/B test, and make decisions backed by evidence
  • Comfortable leading customer research independently — interviews, surveys, synthesis, the lot
  • A scrappy, hands-on mindset — you're not precious about your job title and you get things done
  • Highly organised but flexible — you manage autonomy well and don't need hand-holding
  • A natural collaborator who can bring stakeholders along without losing pace
  • Confident line managing and developing others, even within a lean team structure

Why This Role?

Full product ownership at a brand people genuinely love, during a critical commercial period, with global reach and the autonomy to make real decisions. You'll be working on a product that exists to help people maintain meaningful relationships and with a team and leadership that reflect that same intention. The culture is warm, the peers are strong, and the socials are the kind people actually show up to.
