Product Owner - FinCrime at DolarApp We’re hiring a FinCrime Lead to work directly with our founders and build our financial crime product function from the ground up. You’ll lead a cross‑functional product team focused on fraud prevention, AML/CTF, and transaction monitoring, delivering measurable impact through smart, data‑driven analyses. You’ll thrive in this role if you love solving complex problems, converting regulatory and operational needs into product solutions, and working at the intersection of product, data science, and engineering. Responsibilities
Own the product vision and roadmap for fraud detection, AML, and transaction monitoring. Lead a team of engineers and data scientists to design, deliver, and refine detection models, rule sets, and monitoring systems. Define and track KPIs like true‑positive rate, false‑positive rate, and time‑to‑detection. Turn fraud patterns, typologies, and compliance requirements into clear product specifications. Continuously improve detection capabilities based on real‑world incident feedback and evolving threats.
Qualifications
Proven product experience in fintech, payments, or fraud/financial‑crime prevention. Strong track record delivering data‑driven products with engineering and analytics teams. Analytical mindset; comfortable interpreting model performance metrics. Ability to balance risk prevention with great customer experience. Comfortable working directly with founders in a fast‑paced startup.
Nice‑to‑haves
Experience in Latin American markets. Spanish or Portuguese language skills. Experience scaling a FinCrime product from 0 to hundreds of millions of transactions.
