Product Support Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Chippenham Contract Type: Ongoing Contract Rate: £25–£30 PAYE (Umbrella option available) Shift: Days

The Opportunity

We are currently partnering with a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation to recruit a mechanically biased Product Support Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where no two days are the same.

You will play a key role in supporting engineering projects from concept through to production, ensuring high standards are maintained while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings

* Provide hands-on support within production, including troubleshooting mechanical issues

* Generate and manage new parts within the PLM system

* Update legacy drawings to meet current specifications and standards

* Collaborate with senior management and multidisciplinary teams

* Produce clear and accurate technical documentation

What We’re Looking For

* Minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

* Practical, hands-on mechanical experience (preferred)

* Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred; other systems considered)

* Experience with 2D CAD would be advantageous

* Strong technical documentation and reporting skills

* Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation
