Production Engineer - Manufacturing (Permanent)

Our client, an award winning, innovative manufacturing company based in County Down are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role in a LEAN, fast paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for 2 new assembly production lines, ensuring quality, output, efficiency and safety targets are met. You will play a key part in driving LEAN manufacturing principles, continuous improvement and team performance. You will work closely with existing engineers in other departments to ensure smooth delivery production. Role: Production Engineer Location: Downpatrick, Co. Down Duration: Temp - perm Rate of Pay: £32k - £38k per annum Hours of work: Monday - Friday (41.25 hpw) Main duties and responsibilities: Assembly production line set up Management of workflows through the assembly lines SOP creation, implementation and maintenance Training and guidance for assembly line fitters Quality control of all products in, during and after the assembly line production Ensure minimal factory defects Essential requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in assembly line operations Experience with team management - you will be required to run a small sub-team of assembly line fitters Full UK driving licence or equivalent Desirable Requirements Knowledge of LEAN production practices Strong leadership style with a hands-on approach and can-do attitude Ashton Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business Skills: engineer production Lean manufacturing Benefits: on site parking
