LOCATION: Salford - Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £25,200 - £31,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

BBC Children's and Education are looking for 3 x Production Management Assistants to join a team taking BBC Bitesize on the road to deliver careers advice and inspiration to 110,000 secondary school pupils. The tour will take place in schools across the UK and deliver 4 x hour long sessions in each school, hosted by BBC Talent, and will feature a panel of inspiring guests from a variety of industries who will change perceptions, inspire ambition and celebrate aspiration.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
Working with the production team on location at various schools across the UK, you will assist the Production Coordinator and Production Manager from the ground to ensure the project runs smoothly.

  • Helping with the transportation of Talent & Contributors on event days between various locations
  • Liaising with Talent & Contributors regarding call times and schedules
  • Raising purchase orders and processing payments
  • Assisting with the creation and distribution of call sheets and schedules for Talent & Contributors
  • Booking hire cars, trains and hotel accommodation via the BBC internal systems
  • Ensuring costs on location are logged & reconciled with the PM team, including all Talent & Contributor expenses
  • Arranging lunches and refreshments where necessary on location

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Production & Administrative Experience: Experience of working in a busy production team or live event environment, with strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communicator, able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders whilst remaining calm
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in creating call sheets and schedules, tracking expenditure, booking & amending travel and accommodation as required
  • Adaptability & Pressure Handling: The ability to prioritise effectively whilst working under pressure with conflicting demands whilst remaining calm
  • Positive & Flexible Attitude: Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to be based in office and on location at the heart of the project

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience of working on location
