Operations Manager / General Manager – Permanent - Shrewsbury
L & C Consulting are recruiting with a successful, food processing company in Shrewsbury for a new Factory Manager / Head of Production / General Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations / Production / Factory / General Manager to come on board and run the day-to-day functions of this growing manufacturing business. The role will suit someone who wants to join a rewarding, professional company with a good salary and benefits package with genuine chances to impact the company growth and success.
Playing a key part of the Senior Management Team and reporting into the Managing Director, duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Running a small production and Goods Out team on a daily basis
* Workload planning and allocation
* H&S
* QC
* Warehousing and stock control functions
* General management, training & development other efficiencies and processes
Relevant applicants should have an adaptable, flexible approach, have excellent communication skills and be a dynamic, team player and motivator. You will ideally have worked in an automated, food processing environment previously (Level 3 Food Safety / SALSA experience) and be happy ‘getting stuck in’ with this hands on role as well as managing strategic level operations.
