Production Manager

Impact Recruitment are supporting an established and well-respected manufacturing business based in Northampton with recruiting for a Production Manager to lead site operations and oversee a skilled workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong people leader to take ownership of a stable operation while driving engagement, performance, and continuous improvement.
This role is heavily focused on people management. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive working environment, developing team capability, and ensuring efficient day-to-day production processes. The position offers genuine scope for progression within a supportive organisation.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm (Flexibility on hours)
Location: Northampton
Pay: £40,000 - £55,000 (Depending on managerial experience)
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage the workforce to achieve operational targets
Promote a positive and collaborative culture focused on engagement and accountability
Oversee daily production activities and ensure smooth workflow across departments
Manage staffing levels, planning, and resource allocation
Monitor performance and implement improvements to productivity and efficiency
Support training and development to build team capability
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained across the site
Work closely with senior leadership to support operational strategy
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across people and processes
About You
Proven experience in a people management or supervisory role within manufacturing, production, or a transferable environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Hands-on approach with the ability to engage teams at all levels
Experience managing processes and improving operational performance
Positive, proactive, and solution-focused mindset
Comfortable working on-site in Northampton
