Introduction
Arla Foods Lockerbie are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Production Operative to join our team at our Lockerbie Dairy.
As a Production Operator you will be assisting with the efficient running of the packing lines in Production area within a busy milk production and packing site
About the job
The successful candidate will work a rolling shift pattern of 12 hour shifts, working 4 on, 4 off, with 2 days and 2 nights. They will contribute to the quality and technical areas in the Production team to enable it to produce the highest quality dairy products in a reliable and cost effective way. Duties will include:
* Effectively run Production and Packing lines by using production IT systems
* Perform simple maintenance tasks
* Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems
* Ensure that a high standard on Quality and Health and Safety is maintained including compliance with Arla and customer procedures.
* Finished product quality checks
Who are you?
Ideally the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a good understanding of process flow, mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills along with high levels of enthusiasm and a positive attitude to change and problem solving.
Having a good knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene would be preferable, although...
