The successful candidate will be responsible for creating efficient production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery, and balancing workload across departments such as laser cutting, bending, welding, and finishing. Working in an extremely fast paced environment with a strong can do mentality.Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, capacity, and material availabilityCoordinate workflow between departments including CNC laser, punch, press brake, fabrication, and painting.Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or delaysLiaise with procurement to ensure raw materials are available in line with production plansCollaborate with commercial and customer service teams to prioritise urgent or high-value ordersOptimise machine utilisation and labour efficiency to meet productivity targetsTrack and report on KPIs such as on-time delivery, lead times, and work-in-progress levelsPresent weekly capacity to the business & confirming any constraintsMaintain accurate data within our inhouse systemIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processesSupport capacity planning and long-term production forecasting Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment (sheet metal preferred)Strong understanding of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, punching, bending, and welding (would be preferred)Experience using systemsExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and manage changing prioritiesGood communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other planning tools Desirable Qualifications HNC/HND or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fieldExperience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologiesKnowledge of CAD/CAM systems and production workflows Key Attributes Detail-oriented with a proactive mindsetStrong decision-making capabilityTeam player with a collaborative approachAdaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment REF-227 774JBRP1_UKTJ
