Production & Repair Engineer

Overview:

One of our clients in the Castleford area is currently looking for a Production & Repair Engineer with the ability to assemble and test their electronic transmission products to a high degree of quality and accuracy to join the team.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am to 4.30pm

Salary: £32-34k p/a (depending on experience)

Duties

* Program, modify, and test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and defined procedures..

* Perform electrical and functional testing, including complex fault-finding and diagnosis to PCB level

* Diagnose and complete component-level PCBA repairs

* Carry out final assembly, firmware programming, and verification testing prior to product release

* Support prototype and pre-production builds, working closely with R&D colleagues.

* Conduct in-process and final inspection to verify product conformity, identifying and reporting any non-conformances.

Skills

* IPC-A-610 certification required.

* Highly developed teamwork skills.

* A good degree of IT literacy to perform basic testing as well as recoding test results to the company’s IT system.

* Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and a hunger. to improve methods, approaches, and not be afraid to bring new ideas to the role. A commitment to continuous learning would be valued and supported.

* Excellent hand-eye co-ordination, patience, and a keen eye for detail.

* Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.

* Capacity to learn new skills and deploy them effectively.

* Understanding of health & safety within a production lab environment.
