Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist manufacturer to recruit a Production Supervisor to join their growing manufacturing operation in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor to lead a skilled assembly team within a well-established engineering environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting production targets, improving processes, and driving a positive team culture on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily production and assembly activities Lead, motivate, and support a team of production and assembly operatives Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements where required Maintain a strong focus on health and safety across the production environment Support training and development of team members Liaise with engineering, planning, and management teams to ensure smooth operations

About You

Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or Team Leader role within manufacturing Ideally will have a background in mechanical, hydraulic, modular, automation or electrical assembly environments Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and drive team performance A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving Good understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
