Job Title: Production Supervisor (Permanent, Full time) \n\nWorking hours: Day shift (Early finish on a Friday) \n\nSalary: £32,000 - £38,000 \n\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations within our client's manufacturing facility. In this pivotal leadership position, you will oversee Team Leaders, serve as the primary link between shop‑floor teams and senior management, and ensure all production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with operational plans.\n\nThis opportunity is well-suited to a people‑centric leader with experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication-someone who can inspire teams, resolve issues swiftly, and drive performance through strong coaching, communication, and organisational capability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSet clear performance goals and deadlines in line with business plans and company vision.\n\nManage and coordinate workflow across teams, ensuring duties and responsibilities are clearly understood.\n\nMonitor productivity, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to improve performance.\n\nAct as the first point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues professionally and promptly.\n\nMaintain accurate timekeeping and personnel records.\n\nCommunicate effectively between senior management and shop-floor teams.\n\nPrepare and present daily performance and KPI reports at morning reviews.\n\nSupport the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.\n\nEnsure full compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and disciplinary procedures.\n\nEnforce all Health & Safety standards and best practices.\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience in a Group Leader, Supervisor, or similar role within manufacturing.\n\nStrong understanding of metal fabrication environments, including relevant regulations and procedures.\n\nConfident and capable people manager with the ability to motivate and develop teams.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nStrong organisational and leadership abilities.\n\nProficient in MS Office.\n\nA qualification in First Line Management or a related field would be advantageous.\n\n What's on Offer\n\n Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum + overtime and bonus\n\n Hours: 35 hours per week\n\n Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm\n\n Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm\n\n Benefits:\n\n 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays\n\n Pension scheme\n\n Comprehensive training\n\n Genuine career progression opportunities \n\nTo be considered for this role please click "Apply" now. \n\nOliver Rae is an Established Recruitment Business with offices based in Walsall and Halesowen.
