Job Summary
We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Department Manager to join a team at Chichester Food Park. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will lead a team of Manufacturing and Production Operatives, ensuring your department operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop your team to deliver high-quality products on time and to specification
Foster a positive, high-performance culture through strong, inspirational leadership
Manage operational challenges including seasonal fluctuations and raw material variability
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage innovation within your team
Deliver against KPIs while maintaining GMP standards, food safety compliance, and health & safety regulations
Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Engineering, Hygiene, Logistics, Health & Safety, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations
Identify and report any signs of modern slavery in line with company policy
Skills & Experience
Proven experience managing teams within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar factory environment
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a complex workload
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective decision-maker with strong prioritisation skills
Resilient and adaptable, able to lead confidently through change and operational pressure

Our Client operates a rotational shift pattern covering 7am to 7pm both days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically, you would be working as follows:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday
