Our client is an innovative and pioneering gallery specialising in original, contemporary furniture design and collectable works. Championing leading international artists, architects, and designers (both emerging and world-renowned) the Studio has built a strong reputation for producing exceptional, museum-quality pieces.The Studio is now seeking a highly motivated Production Technician with strong technical knowledge of furniture construction, materials, and production methods to support its Production team across a wide range of projects.The Role Working closely with the Production team, artists, suppliers and workshops, the Production Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of bespoke furniture, lighting and sculptural works to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities include to:Provide administrative and practical support to the Production Team across multiple projectsProcess quotations, purchase orders and invoicesLiaise with suppliers, manufacturers, workshops and artistsAssist with exhibition and fair planning, installations and de-installationsOrganise domestic and international transport of furniture, lighting, sculpture and samplesGenerate renders and visuals to support the gallery sales teamSource new suppliers and manufacturersSkills & Experience required by the Production Technician:Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skillsStrong planning, organisational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to interpret sketches and technical drawingsProficiency in AdobeCS, Rhino 3D, KeyShot/V-RayStrong knowledge of materials and production processes, including bronze, wood, steel, resin and decorative finishesAt least 2 years experience in the production of luxury, bespoke sculptural/artistic furniture/lightingThis is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected studio at the forefront of contemporary design, working on distinctive and ambitious projects in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
