\nOur client is a highly-regarded defendant law firm with offices nationwide. They are currently recruiting for a solicitor to join their Manchester or Liverpool professional indemnity teams on a hybrid basis. A competitive salary and annual bonus are available along with a good level of hybrid working.

\nYour new role
\nThis Professional Indemnity Solicitor role will see you:

\n\t
• Provide comprehensive assistance and support to partners and senior associates in managing their caseloads.
\n\t
• Take proactive ownership and management of your own cases.
\n\t
• Collaborate as part of a team on complex, high-value matters.
\n\t
• Draft detailed, technical reports, correspondence, and court documentation.
\n\t
• Delegate tasks to solicitors and trainees while supporting their professional development.
\n\t
• Advise clients on liability and coverage issues.
\n\t
• Liaise effectively with insurer and insured clients, experts, witnesses, counsel, and other stakeholders.
\n\t
• Ensure adherence to client service level agreements, policies, and procedures.
\n\t
• Contribute to business development initiatives and support growth opportunities.
\n\t
• Prepare and complete management information reports.
\n\t
• Assist in supervising trainees, paralegals, and apprentices.
\n\t
• Undertake additional tasks as allocated by the Team Manager.

\nWhat you'll need to succeed

\n\t
• Qualified solicitor with 2+ years PQE (or equivalent)
\n\t
• Previous experience of professional indemnity, particularly construction and architect claims.
\n\t
• Proven experience in insurance litigation, policy coverage analysis, and professional risk claims (construction focus; wider experience desirable).
\n\t
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, market dynamics, reporting, reserving, and broker-insurer-lawyer relationships.
\n\t
• Previous secondment or employment within an insurance organisation is advantageous.
\n\t
• Ability to manage caseloads, meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure with a commercial, client-focused approach.
\n\t
• Excellent legal analysis, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
\n\t
• Highly organised with strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n\t
• Proficient in IT systems and effective team collaboration.
\n
