Professional Negligence Solicitor Location: Bristol Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE) Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on site expectation) About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Solicitor with 0 to 4 years PQE to join a highly regarded Professional Indemnity team based in Bristol. The team advises major professional indemnity insurers as well as professional services firms across a wide range of sectors. The work involves defending complex professional negligence claims and providing strategic advice on risk management, regulatory matters and insurance coverage issues. You will be working alongside experienced partners and lawyers within a collaborative and growing team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of professional negligence matters involving claims against professionals such as solicitors, accountants, insurance brokers and financial advisers. Claims handled by the team range in value from relatively modest disputes to multi million pound matters, offering an excellent opportunity to develop strong litigation and strategic advisory skills. The role will involve:

Managing a caseload of professional indemnity claims from early stage investigation through to litigation Advising insurers and professional clients on liability, risk exposure and claim strategy Assisting with coverage advice and policy interpretation issues Preparing legal documentation including pleadings, reports and settlement advice Maintaining effective client relationships and delivering high quality service Supporting improvements to internal processes and service delivery Contributing to business development and client engagement activities

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 0 to 4 years PQE Have a strong grounding in litigation and dispute resolution Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills Possess strong written and verbal communication abilities Be capable of managing competing priorities in a busy practice Work effectively as part of a collaborative team environment Show an interest in developing expertise within professional negligence and insurance litigation
