Job Description Programme Manager – Executive Education (Open Programmes) Location: Cambridge (Hybrid) Salary: £33,361–£41,474 per year Contract: Full-time, permanent
A leading provider of executive education is looking for a Programme Manager to help deliver high-impact learning experiences for senior leaders from around the world. This role sits within the organisation’s Open Programmes team and plays a key part in bringing together all elements needed to run successful in-person and digital programmes.
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end programme delivery, from planning to execution, ensuring a seamless experience for participants, faculty, and clients. The position offers a mix of operational responsibility, stakeholder management, and live event coordination, with the opportunity to contribute to a portfolio known for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Event Management
\n Manage a portfolio of programmes from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
\n
Oversee logistics such as accommodation, travel, catering, AV, venues, and digital learning environments.
\n
Support participants and faculty during programme delivery, including some out-of-hours events and occasional weekends.
\n
Provide technical support for online sessions using platforms like Zoom and Teams.
\n
Stakeholder Management
\n Work collaboratively with internal teams, faculty, and external partners.
\n
Deliver high-quality service to clients and participants.
\n
Source and manage suppliers, including venues and hotels.
\n
Communication & Programme Support
\n Maintain regular communication with participants across the full programme lifecycle.
\n
Coordinate rehearsals, roundtables, and faculty briefings.
\n
Gather and present feedback, leading post-programme debriefs to support continuous improvement.
\n
Keep internal systems and records accurate and up to date.
\n
Additional Contributions
Support team initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects.
About You
\n Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
\n
Experience in project or event management, ideally in an educational or client-focused environment.
\n
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
\n
Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset.
\n
Comfortable with modern office and learning technology.
\n
Flexible about working hours when programmes require it.
\n
A project management qualification (APM, Prince2, Agile, etc.) is desirable.
\n
Working Arrangements
\n Hybrid working model with at least two days per week in the Cambridge office; additional attendance may be needed depending on programme schedules.
\n
40-hour working week, with flexibility supported.
\n
Six-month probation period.
\n
