Location: Havant Thicket Reservoir

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + 10% Pension

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering Contractor, is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join their team on the flagship project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a major infrastructure scheme, supporting senior leadership with high-quality project insight, reporting, and controls.

The successful candidate will be based on-site and will support the Project Management team in driving performance, governance, and informed decision-making across the project lifecycle.

Project Controls Manager Job Overview

Provide project controls insight to support strategic and operational decision-making
Produce and manage monthly reporting, dashboards, and performance updates for senior management and stakeholders
Monitor project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), KPIs, and data-driven dashboards
Support senior leadership meetings, project reviews, and performance discussions
Assist in managing and structuring project scope changes in line with contract requirements
Coordinate project risk management activities, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking
Develop and maintain project structures, reporting frameworks, and organisational maps
Work closely with Project Planners to maintain and update project programmes
Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls systems, tools, and processes

Project Controls Manager Job Requirements

Degree qualified in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
Experience working on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of project planning, reporting, and controls methodologies
Experience with Design & Build (D&B) projects
Knowledge of NEC contracts and change management processes (advantageous)
Proficient in Excel (including queries) and Power BI for reporting and data analysis
Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM/information management systems
CSCS Card (Manager or Academically Qualified)
Full UK Driving Licence
