Project Co-ordinator: Automation & Maintenance
Derbyshire (office-based with nationwide site visits)
£40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
Rise10 Recruitment are proud to be supporting a leading engineering organisation in the search for a Minor Works Co-ordinator to join their System Support (Maintenance) Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a controls or automation background who is ready to step into a project coordination role—while still staying technically hands-on when needed. You’ll play a key role in connecting engineers, clients, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
- Coordinate and oversee minor works projects within the system support team
- Act as the main point of contact for project planning, scheduling, and execution
- Ensure engineers are equipped with the right tools, materials, and information
- Provide technical support when required, including occasional hands-on fault finding and system upgrades
- Liaise directly with clients, managing requirements, updates, and overall satisfaction
- Coordinate site activities and labour planning
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and site regulations
- Support modifications, upgrades, and maintenance across PLC, SCADA, and control systems
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement
About You
- Experience in a coordination, supervisory, or project-based role within automation, control systems, or similar
- Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and industrial control systems
- Electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting experience (or solid working knowledge)
- The ability to balance coordination responsibilities with technical involvement
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and engineers
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Full UK Driving Licence
Working Hours
- 40-hour working week
- Flexible working pattern: Core hours 9:30am – 4:00pm (Monday–Thursday), early finish Fridays (1:00pm), subject to workload
- Flexibility required for UK-wide site work, including occasional nights and weekends
