Job Title: Project Director – Data Centre Construction

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to grow and develop a team delivering Data Centre Construction projects in and around London.

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the team and the project from tender & planning to completion, including CSA and fit-out packages, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule targets are met. This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art facility with a leading international construction contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and chair weekly meetings with your team, the Design team, and the Client Follow up and ensure a timely close out of any outstanding items. Attend and actively contribute to EHS and QA meetings. Implement Morning White board meetings. Implement evening schedule meetings.

Oversee and manage all phases of the data centre delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources. Coordinate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement quality control procedures to meet technical and contractual requirements. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Report regularly on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Engineering Degree or recognised trade qualification 10+ years’ experience of managing large construction projects as a General Contractor. Proven experience as a Project Director/Senior Manager in construction projects, preferably Pharma, Hospitals, Clean Rooms or other high-tech facilities Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages Flexibility in working patterns where necessary. Ability to efficiently manage a team by setting expectations, delegation, and review. Strong communication & computer skills, Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
