Job Title: Project Director – Data Centre Construction


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to grow and develop a team delivering Data Centre Construction projects in and around London.

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the team and the project from tender & planning to completion, including CSA and fit-out packages, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule targets are met. This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art facility with a leading international construction contractor.




Key Responsibilities:


  • Schedule and chair weekly meetings with your team, the Design team, and the Client
  • Follow up and ensure a timely close out of any outstanding items.
  • Attend and actively contribute to EHS and QA meetings.
  • Implement Morning White board meetings.
  • Implement evening schedule meetings.


  • Oversee and manage all phases of the data centre delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement quality control procedures to meet technical and contractual requirements.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Report regularly on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.




Requirements:


  • Engineering Degree or recognised trade qualification
  • 10+ years’ experience of managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
  • Proven experience as a Project Director/Senior Manager in construction projects, preferably Pharma, Hospitals, Clean Rooms or other high-tech facilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages
  • Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
  • Ability to efficiently manage a team by setting expectations, delegation, and review.
  • Strong communication & computer skills,
  • Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
