Project Director – Commercial Fit-Out\n\nLocation: UK (Projects Nationwide)\nSector: Commercial Interiors / Workplace Fit-Out\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking to appoint an experienced Project Director to lead and deliver high-quality workplace and commercial interior projects across our growing portfolio.\n\nThis is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nThe Project Director will play a key role from early client engagement through to project completion, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects meet both commercial objectives and end-user expectations.\n\nStrong leadership, clear communication, and proven experience within the commercial interiors or construction sector are essential.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead the successful delivery of multiple commercial fit-out and workplace projects from concept through to completion.\n\n * \n\n Act as a senior client interface, building strong and lasting relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.\n\n * \n\n Provide strategic leadership to project teams, supporting collaboration across design, pre-construction, commercial, and delivery functions.\n\n * \n\n Oversee project programmes, budgets, and risk management, ensuring projects meet commercial and operational targets.\n\n * \n\n Ensure projects are delivered in line with quality, safety, and compliance standards.\n\n * \n\n Support business development and client growth, identifying opportunities for repeat work and strengthening key relationships.\n\n * \n\n Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers and delivery teams, driving performance and continuous improvement.\n\n * \n\n Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the business, supporting operational strategy and project delivery best practice.\n\nExperience & Skills\n\n * \n\n Proven experience within the commercial interiors, workplace fit-out, or construction sector.\n\n * \n\n Previous experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Pre-Construction Manager, with progression into leadership roles.\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to completion and handover.\n\n * \n\n Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted long-term relationships.\n\n * \n\n Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\n * \n\n Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, programmes, and project risk.\n\n * \n\n Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and leadership abilities.\n\n * \n\n Hybrid working out of Birmingham office / WFH - 2 days a week in office\n\nPlease apply below and get in touch with Heather Duncan for more information
