Project Director – Major Construction Projects (Up to £80m)

PSR Solutions are proud to be partnering with a leading UK main contractor to appoint a high-calibre Project Director to deliver major construction schemes valued up to £80 million.

This is a rare opportunity to join a financially robust, privately owned contractor with an outstanding reputation for quality, collaboration, and repeat business across multiple sectors.

The Role

As Project Director, you will take full operational and commercial responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale projects from pre-construction through to handover. You will provide strategic leadership to site-based teams, ensuring programme certainty, commercial performance, safety excellence, and client satisfaction.

Projects are typically complex, multi-disciplinary builds across sectors including:

Commercial Residential Healthcare Education Industrial & mixed-use developments

Key Responsibilities

Lead and direct project teams on schemes up to £80m in value Oversee full project lifecycle including pre-construction input and procurement strategy Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Drive commercial performance and manage risk effectively Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business Provide strategic reporting to senior leadership Champion health & safety and operational best practice across all phases

What We’re Looking For

Proven track record delivering main contractor projects valued £40m–£70m+ Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and align multi-disciplinary teams Excellent commercial acumen and risk management capability Experience working with both public and private sector clients Stable career history within reputable main contractors Relevant construction qualifications (degree-qualified )
