We’re delighted to be partnering with a market-leading Project Management consultancy to appoint a Project Director as they continue to evolve and strengthen their senior leadership team.
This consultancy is widely regarded for delivering some of the most ambitious and technically complex projects in the UK - schemes that are design-led, highly bespoke and often genuinely one of a kind. Their work spans multiple sectors and consistently sits at the intersection of creativity, engineering excellence and strategic delivery.
This appointment offers the opportunity to take a pivotal leadership role within a business known for its quality of thinking, depth of expertise and exceptional project outcomes.
The Opportunity
As Project Director, you will sit at the forefront of project delivery and leadership. You’ll be trusted to oversee major, high-profile commissions while shaping teams, mentoring future leaders and helping steer the consultancy through its next phase of growth.
You’ll play a key role in setting standards, influencing culture and strengthening client relationships - balancing technical excellence with commercial insight and people-focused leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Providing senior leadership across multiple large-scale, complex projects with significant profile and strategic importance
*
Leading, mentoring and developing Project Managers at all levels, from early-career professionals through to senior leadership
*
Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic direction and assurance on delivery, risk and governance
*
Applying deep expertise in JCT and NEC contracts, ensuring best practice, compliance and robust commercial management
*
Supporting project teams in managing risk, programme, cost and quality across challenging and technically demanding schemes
*
Driving business growth through proactive client engagement, opportunity identification and strategic input
*
Contributing to the wider leadership of the consultancy, helping shape culture, standards and long-term vision
*
Championing collaboration, high performance and a people-first approach across the team
Experience in sectors such as entertainment, leisure or large public venues would be welcomed, but strong multi-sector capability and confidence delivering complex, high-impact projects is the priority.
About You
*
Established experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams on major construction projects
*
A strong track record of successfully delivering large, complex and bespoke schemes
*
Advanced knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT, with the ability to guide and support others
*
Commercially astute, with a strategic mindset and natural business development capability
*
An authentic, emotionally intelligent leader who values people, culture and collaboration
*
Comfortable operating at board and senior client level, representing the consultancy with credibility and confidence
